Can I match with multiple Subletters at once?

Do I need to get my landlord’s permission before subletting my room?

Typically, rules about subletting are outlined in the terms of your lease. If you don’t see rules about subletting in your lease, you should contact your landlord for permission before proceeding with the Blueroom process.

What happens once I match with someone?

  • As a Host, once you send out a match request, the Subletter can either accept of decline your request.
    • If accepted – you will be placed on an email thread with your subletter notifying you of next steps.
    • If declined – keep searching for the one!

What if there is damage to my room when I return?

Can I match with multiple Hosts at once?

What do I do if a Host sends a match request to me?

  • First, review the Host’s listing and profile to see if you would be interested in subletting their room. You then have two options:
    • Confirm match request – If you like the listing, then confirm the match request. Don’t worry – neither party is signing a lease or making any payments yet. Confirming the match request means you will be connected by e-mail with the Host to discuss details like move-in date, the property address, etc.
    • Decline match request – If you don’t think the Host’s listing would be a good fit for you, decline the request.

What if the roommates are loud and stay up late?

  • If you are unable to sleep at night due to the roommates being too noisy, you should follow these steps:
    • Talk to the roommates and tell them that you are having trouble sleeping at night and ask if they could be quiet after a certain time.
    • If they continue to be noisy, reach out to the Host and ask the Host to talk to the roommates.
    • If the problem persists, you may contact Blueroom directly and explain the situation. We will review your situation and provide you with all the resources we have at our disposal to try and resolve your situation.
